 | Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 10, 2006 -- EnPro Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NPO), a leading manufacturer of engineered industrial products, today announced it has acquired Southwest Compressor Services and H.A.R. Compressor Products. The transactions were completed for cash; terms were not disclosed.
Southwest, located in Conroe, Texas, manufactures and reconditions critical components for reciprocating compressors used in the oil, petrochemical and natural gas markets. H.A.R., located in Golden, Colo., is an injection molding company that manufactures molded compressor valve components. Both were privately held companies.
“These small, strategic acquisitions, combined with our recent acquisition of Allwest Compressor Services, strengthen the competitive position of our France Compressor Products company,” said Ernie Schaub, president and chief executive officer. “They will allow France Compressor to accelerate product development and its ability to serve the natural gas market.”
Southwest and H.A.R. will be managed as part of France Compressor Products, which is headquartered in Stafford, Texas. Both companies will continue to operate out of their current manufacturing facilities.
