(NYSE: NPO), a leading manufacturer of engineered industrial products, today announced the acquisition of Allwest Compressor Services, a privately-held manufacturer of compressor components located in Western Canada.  The transaction was completed for cash; terms were not disclosed.

Allwest manufactures and services compressor-related parts and components for the natural gas and oil production industries in Western Canada.  Products manufactured include compressor pistons and rods, piston rings and rider bands, and compressor valves.  In addition, Allwest offers reconditioning services for reciprocating compressor components.
